Why I Launched a Communications Consulting Business When Everyone Can Draft with AI

Updated: Nov 3

Everyone I know is using AI to help them write.

My 82-year-old dad uses it to draft sermons. My mentee in Kenya uses it for cover letters. AI can help everyone communicate better. It clarifies ideas, soften tough messages, and get words flowing faster.

More than 700 million people use ChatGPT each week, and writing makes up about 40 percent of work-related activity, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research. And that’s just one platform. Add in Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Claude, and others, and the real number is far higher.

But while AI can help you say things better, without a clear strategy, goals, and human connection, your communications won’t move your organization forward or connect with employees and clients.

AI can streamline content creation, automate workflows, and analyze engagement. But it still takes a strategist to orchestrate how messages connect, cascade, and inspire action.

Strategic communications is more than an email, post, or press release. It’s about translating business goals into clear, consistent narratives that move organizations forward through M&As, strategy shifts, rebrands, and transformations.

So yes, anyone can use AI to draft communications. But not everyone can combine AI with strategy and storytelling to make those communications matter.

That’s what I do.

I help organizations communicate smarter by blending human insight with AI-powered efficiency to align teams, clarify direction, and drive change.

If you’re curious how AI can elevate your communications strategy and ready to make your messages work harder for your business, let’s connect.
